Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge Hello Birthday Card

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

It has been a while since we did a Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge, with Christmas etc. but we are back on track now and will be “hopping” regularly on a Saturday and bringing you some amazing products!

So for today’s sketch….

For today’s cards I used the brilliant Hello Stamp Set  from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue which is only available until 15th February so you need to get in quick! I have gone in to more detail about the Sale-a-Bration promotion at the end of this post so don’t forget to stay until the end to see how you can qualify for this stamp set and more gorgeous products.

I used a piece of Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and I scored both card bases at 5 7/8 inches.

For my “birthday girl” card, I stamped the small party hat image randomly all over my card base in Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink and So Saffron Classic Ink. This is one of my favourite colour combinations! It is quite difficult to get the right amount of pressure with these little stamps so have a practice on some scrap paper first. I found I was either applying too much pressure or not enough but you get the hang of it soon enough.

Then using one of my Circles Framelits Dies and my Bigshot I die cut a circle out of Wisteria Wonder A4 Cardstock for my centre piece.

For my “Birthday Boy” card I used Tempting Turquoise Classic Ink and Watermelon Wonder Classic Ink and Tempting Turquoise A4 Cardstock.

On my circle pieces I stamped the “Hello” sentiment in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my heat tool. I popped these on to my card bases with some Stampin Dimensionals.  I finished my circle piece with a couple of the 1/8 inch Mini Brads.

To finish my cards off I stamped my “Birthday Girl” sentiment on to some Whisper White Cardstock in Wisteria Wonder Ink, and my “Birthday Boy” sentiment in Watermelon Wonder Ink. I punched these out with the Washi Label Punch and popped them up with some dimensionals.

I finished off with a few sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment. That’s it for my take on this weeks sketch but I think this stamp set is a must in everyone’s collection so get it quick!!

Thanks for hopping by today, and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog for more inspiration or go check me out on Facebook or Instagram, Louise xx
