Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!
So this is week 6 in our challenge and it coincides with one of our fellow Pootler’s birthday, Sam from Samscraftythings.com so don’t forget to wish her happy birthday along the way! Happy Birthday Sam xx
So for today’s sketch….
Today’s post is a huge mash up of points to get across, so we have our sketch and as I mentioned above we have Sam’s birthday, then there is Valentine’s day tomorrow but also we have a few items from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue that are only available until 15th February, yep two more days to grab these amazing products! I have gone in to more detail about the Sale-a-Bration promotion at the end of this post if you need to know more about how to bag these bargains.
For my card bases I used Crumb Cake A4 Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches.
Then taking the gorgeous Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper, and you don’t realise how gorgeous this paper is until you open it! I cut four strips, two from the Melon Mambo/Blushing Bride colour, and one of each of the Crushed Curry/Daffodil Delight, Soft/Tempting Turquoise, measuring 3 x 5 5/8 inches.
I adhered these to my card fronts and then with some more Crumb Cake cardstock I stamped my sentiment from the Sky is the Limit stamp set, and like the DSP this is only available for two more days and would be perfect for Father’s Day cards!!, in Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and my heat tool.
As I can’t resist using my Prismacolour pencils on Crumb Cake Cardstock I coloured in the trailing smoky heart image that I lined up under my sentiment using my Stamp-a-mi-jig in matching colours. I then punched these out with the 2″ inch Circle Punch.
I did add in a Happy Birthday sentiment for our Birthday girl! To finish my cards off I adhered my sentiment pieces on to some 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle punch outs from the Perfectly Artistic DSP.
To add a bit of interest behind my sentiment pieces I made some “Pootle Loops” with some of the White 1 1/4 Jute Ribbon and popped my sentiments up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. To round the cards off I punched out three hearts, it is Valentine’s weekend, with my heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and popped these up and added some Basic Pearl Jewels.
I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s weekend whatever you are up to and don’t forget to go and grab these Sale-a-Bration items before they are gone for good!
Thanks for hopping by today, don’t forget to subscribe to my blog for more inspiration or go check me out on Facebook or Instagram, Louise xx
