Stampin’ Up UK Independent Demonstrator “What I’ve been up to!”

I just wanted to check in with you today and let you know what I have been up to!

Its been a busy couple of weeks on the Stampin’ Up calendar, we had our On Stage event which I attended, we had the retiring list come out which you can still take advantage of up until 31st May 2016. At On Stage we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at this years new 2016/17 catalogue which I have to say is amazing and I am so excited!!! We as demonstrators are allowed to place pre-orders for some of the scrummy new delights so we can share them with you in the run up to the catalogue release, which I will be doing so shortly.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Onstage was an amazing day. I got to meet up with my fellow Pootler’s and my Upline Sam. We got to try out some of the new products, we were given lots of goodies (including a copy of the new catalogue) and we learnt so much from representatives from Stampin’ Up as well as fellow demonstrators whom shared some amazing makes and ideas. It didn’t stop there we also had a team training day on the Sunday organised by Sam for her team which again was brilliant, I loved every second of my Stampin’ Up weekend! Oh and bonus I came away with some beautiful swaps, some I have eaten ūüôā (not the packaging hahaha….)

I made some cute little boxes for my swaps. As I have said before, I have to step out of my comfort zone when making 3D projects so I hope my fellow demonstrators enjoyed their swap and the little chocolate surprise inside ūüôā

For my boxes I used the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper, co-ordinating A4 Cardstock in Crumbcake, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron and Basic Black. I also used Co-ordinating Classic Inks in Crumbcake and Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo and Rose Red, Mint Macaron and Garden Green and finally Crushed curry and Tangerine Tango. I used the Flower Patch Stamp Set and co-ordinating Flower Flair Framelits. For the sentiment I used the Many More sentiments Stamp Set and the Word Window punch.

We were set a few challenges that weekend, Sara Douglas CEO of Stampin’ Up set us a goal of booking one extra event every month for 6 months #sixmonthstampingoals. So with this in mind I took part in my first carft fair at the weekend and I have to say I really enjoyed it, I made some great contacts with other stall holders and ultimately got myself out there!!

I learnt a few things too, what people like to buy and I was mainly asked for male themed cards!! So this week that is my challenge to myself, make some male cards. Again, stepping out of my comfort zone and challenging myself…I will be sharing these here with you this week! Also I have a project week planned where I will be sharing some of the amazing project kits that you can get in our amazing catalogues, including a sneaky peek of a kit featured in the new catalogue!!! This will kick off a few sneak peek projects using some of the gorgeous new products.

So this is week 8 in our challenge and the sketch comes from the lovely Justyna!

So for today’s sketch….

For my card base I used Mint Macaron A4 Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches.

I used the oh so cute Easter Lamb stamp. I stamped this is Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Stampin Embossing Powder. I punched this out with my 2 inch Circle punch. On some Whisper White A4 Cardstock I stamped some brush stroke images from the Over the Rainbow Stamp Set in Mint Macaron and So Saffron Classic Ink, again I punched this out with my 2 inch Circle Punch.

Using a piece of 2015-2017 In Colour Designer Series Paper Stack I cut three strips, two measuring 1 inch x 3 7/8 inches and one measuring 3 1/2 inches x 3 7/8 inches. I adhered these to my card base. I popped my two circles pieces in the centre and added some flowers punched out of my stamped piece with the Itty Bitty Flower Accent punch.

bog hop-001

Welcome to another Pootler’s Blog Hop! Today’s blog hop is all about Spring & Summer, Yay!!! I am so over Winter, I hate the dark nights. So to cheer us up we have a brand new Spring & Summer Catalogue which of course coincides with Sale-a-Bration (for more details scroll to the bottom of the page), so there really is no better time to spend your money! So you may have joined me from our lovely Hannah who is the lovely lady that organises the hops (much love to her!) or you may be working your way backwards and arrived from the lovely Karen’s blog. Either way we will be showcasing some of the gorgeous new products from the new catalogue.

For today’s card I used the gorgeous Balloon Celebration Stamp Set¬†which is available in a bundle, saving 15%, with the Balloon Bouquet Punch. This is such a pretty and delicate stamp set I knew I wanted to keep with more of a subtle colour scheme so I went with Mint Macaron A4 Cardstock for my card base cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches.

P1010810_marked

I added a piece of the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack measuring 3 7/8 inches x 5 5/8 inches. To make my background for my cute balloons, I made a mask from some post it notes by stamping the cloud shapes on to them and cutting them out and using the tiniest bit of Snail Adhesive to stick them down temporarily on to a piece of Whisper White A4 Cardstock measuring 3 5/8 inches x 5 3/8 inches. Then taking some Soft Sky Classic Ink (appropriately named for this project) I sponged on some colour over my masks. Then peeling them away leaving some whiter clouds. To add a bit of depth to my clouds, using the cloud images I stamped over my white areas with some Smoky Slate Classic Ink, using the stamping off or second generation stamping technique so the colour was a little more muted.

P1010811_marked

Now for my favourite bit!! Taking the two solid balloon images I stamped some in Blushing Bride Classic Ink and Mint Macaron Classic Ink on to some Whisper White cardstock. Then taking the shading images for the balloons, I stamped this on to them with some Smoky Slate Ink. I them punched them out using the Balloon Bouquet punch. I stamped the balloon strings on to my background again with some Smoky Slate Ink and popped this up on my card front using some Stampin Dimensionals. I then arranged my balloons, some I stuck down with Tonbow Mono Multi Glue and others I popped up using dimensionals.

P1010812_marked

For my sentiment, as I wanted this to be a Valentine’s card, I used the Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set. I stamped my sentiment again in Smoky Slate Ink on to some Blushing Bride A4 Cardstock¬†and popped this up on my card front. Using a spare heart that I had embossed many moons ago (I tend to do a few at a time if I am doing one and keep them for a rainy day) I popped this up on to my sentiment.

P1010813_marked

For the inside of my card I used another sentiment and small heart stamp from the Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set. Well that’s my card for today.

I really enjoyed making this card and I was pleased with how it turned out, I might try and step out of my comfort zone though and try a different colour palette! Don’t forget to hop on to my fellow Pootler’s for more inspiration!

Stampin’ Up Flurry of Wishes Christmas Card

P1010762_marked

For today’s¬†cards I dug out my favourite, the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set which also comes in a¬†bundle (with co-ordinating snowflake punch) saving 15%!

For my card bases I used the Mint Macaron A4 Thick Cardstock  and Tip Top Taupe A4 Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches. For my card fronts I used pieces of Whisper White A4 Cardstock measuring 3 5/8 inches x 5 3/8 inches. I stamped some  snowflakes in alternating patterns with Mint Macaron Classic Ink and Tip Top Taupe Classic Ink.

Then taking some spare Whisper White cardstock I stamped the smaller snowflake images which co-ordinate with the matching Snow Flurry Punch, punched these out and popped them on my card front . I stamped a sentiment taken from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set in alternating inks. I tied some of the gorgeous Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim around the tops of my card fronts. I cut some more Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron Cardstock to mat my card fronts measuring 3 7/8 inches x 5 5/8 inches and popped my card fronts up with some Stampin Dimensionals and popped these on to my card base with some more Dimensionals, plenty of dimension in these cards.

For the final finishing touch I added some Pearl Basic Jewels and gave these to some lovely friends of

12307945_10153683901009463_2366295587231839764_o (2)

For this weeks hop, I decided not to go with a Christmas card, although I still have plenty left to make! I went for a birthday card. It was one of our fellow Pootler’s birthday last week, Ania! it was also my daughter’s birthday yesterday so sticking with birthday’s I made the card below.

P1010755_marked

For todays card I used the Cottage Greetings Stamp Set. I wanted this stamp set for so long, it is so pretty but up to yet I have not got around to using it.

P1010756_marked

For my card base is used Mint Macaron A4 Cardstock cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches.

P1010757_marked

Then taking some of the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack I took the main piece measuring 3 5/8 inches x 3 5/8 inches and the smaller piece measuring 3/4 inches x 3 5/8 inches and adhered it to a mat of Very Vanilla Cardstock measuring 3 7/8 inches x 3 7/8 inches and 1 inch x 3 7/8 inches. I popped these up on to my card base with some Stampin Dimensionals.

P1010758_marked

Taking the Banner Triple punch and some more DSP and Very Vanilla cardstock I punched out two banners. I sponged the edge of the Very Vanilla cardstock with some Mint Macoron Classic Ink. I popped this up on some Dimensionals and added some In Colour Blossom Accents.

P1010759_marked

Taking one of the itty bitty flower images from the stamp set I stamped this on to some Very Vanilla Cardstock and punched it out with the 7/8 inch Scallop Circle Punch. I took the 1 inch circle punch and punched out a piece of the Mint Macaron Cardstock and again with the 1 1/4 inch scallop punch punched out a piece of the Very vanilla cardstock. I sponged all the edges and popped this up on some dimensionals.

P1010760_marked

For the inside of my card I used a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock measuring 3 7/8 inches by 5 5/8 inches and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Mint Macaron Classic Ink and using some of the gorgeous flower stamps, stamped along the bottom for added decoration and because I couldn’t help myself, they are adorable!

P1010761_marked

So that’s my card for this week, Ania I hope you had a lovely birthday!

Pootlers Blog Hop

Pootlers Blog Hop-001Today I am thrilled to be taking part in another brilliant Pootler’s Blog Hop. My fellow Pootler’s and I have put together a series of projects showcasing some of the gorgeous new products from the new Annual Catalogue that was released earlier this month.

You Got This Watercolour Card

You Got This Watercolour Card

For today’s card I am using the new You’ve Got This Stamp Set, taking the main flower image I stamped it with Versamark ink on some Watercolour Cardstock measuring 5 1/2 inches x 3 5/8 inches. I heat embossed this with some Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.  Taking an Aqua Painter I wet my piece of embossed watercolour cardstock and then taking some of the New Watermelon Wonder Classic Ink I just dropped ink on and around the flower petals allowing the water to carry the ink. I repeated this step with some of the gorgeous Mint Macaron Classic Ink around the stem of the flower again allowing the water to carry the ink outwards.

Watercolour effect

Watercolour effect

Once this was dry I used lots of Fast Fuse to adhere it to my card base which consisted of a piece of A4 Mint Macaron Cardstock (yes, I am ever so slightly obsessed with this colour) cut at 4 1/8 inches and scored at 5 7/8 inches.  To edge my watercolour piece I took a piece of Tip Top Taupe Cardstock measuring 1 inch x 5 1/2 inches and adhered a piece of the lovely English Garden Designer Series Paper measuring 3/4 inch x 5 1/2 inches and popped this up on the edge of my card front with some Stampin Dimensionals.

English Garden DSP

English Garden DSP

Then to finish off I stamped one of the lovely sentiments from the stamp set on to some Whisper White Cardstock with some (yes, you guessed it) Mint Macaron Classic Ink. I punched this out with my 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle punch, I sponged the edges with the matching ink. To the back of my sentiment piece I decided to add some “Pootle Loops”, well it wouldn’t be a Pootler’s Blog Hop without them! So taking some of the White Jute Ribbon I threaded a couple of lengths of cotton off a strip of ribbon (a lovely demonstrator shared this trick with us at Regional Training this May) and curled this round the back of my sentiment piece adhering it with some Glue Dots. I then adhered this with some more Stampin Dimensionals to my card front.

If you fancy any of the lovely new products pop over to my shop Click HERE!!!

There we go, another fantastic blog hop, hope you are enjoying some of the amazing projects along the hop!
